In a heartwarming display of musical camaraderie, Canadian artist PSL and East Coast Canadian singer/songwriter Max Bujold embarked on a creative journey in the serene Maritimes to craft a timeless song. The result of their collaboration is “Underdogs,” a poignant anthem dedicated to those who have experienced doubt, unfair judgment, or the weight of being misunderstood.

“My friends and family in the Maritimes had always spoken highly of Max Bujold and encouraged me to collaborate with him,” PSL shared. “I attended a few of his live performances, and upon hearing his music, I knew we had the potential for a remarkable collaboration. Although rock and country aren’t my typical genres, I embraced the challenge. A few weeks after our initial meeting and discussions, I welcomed Max to my studio, and ‘Underdogs’ was born.”
The theme of the song resonates deeply with both artists, who have encountered doubt on their respective musical journeys. PSL emphasized the significance of persistence in the face of doubt. “As artists, we are constantly confronted with skepticism as we climb the musical ladder. From my own experiences, I’ve learned that doubt is fleeting if you put in the effort. You have to keep pushing forward, and success will eventually silence the doubters.”
